Obstetrics · free beta
The obstetrics call schedule, without the monthly headache.
Deliveries do not wait for office hours. Obstetrics call has to cover 24/7 with a small team, nights that count double and a fairness ledger everyone watches. Synchro generates that schedule in seconds, following your rules.
Quick verdict
If you are an obstetrics department head or the person stuck with the call schedule, Synchro is testable this week, at zero cost for the entire hospital beta.
No patient data in the platform. Physician schedules only. The interface is currently in French, with English launching in August 2026.
The worst case in physician scheduling
Obstetrics stacks up everything that makes a call schedule painful to build by hand:
- Continuous coverage. No gaps allowed: every night, every weekend, every holiday needs its on-call physician.
- Small teams. The same shift comes back around fast. A fairness mistake shows up in weeks, not years.
- Nights and weekends to weight. A night of call is not a day shift, and every department counts it its own way.
- Constant disruptions. Conferences, illness, leave: the schedule keeps moving and every change triggers a phone cascade.
What Synchro automates
- Schedule generation in seconds, following your coverage rules and weightings.
- Fairness on the weighted total. Each physician sees their call count and the team's. Fairness debates get settled with numbers.
- Natural-language constraints. "No call during my conference week, never two weekends in a row": everyone writes their constraints the way they would say them, and the distribution takes them into account.
- Self-serve transfers. Something comes up? The shift goes on the transfer board and a colleague claims it. The department head sees everything, without making a single call.
No patient data
Synchro schedules physicians, not patients. The platform holds no clinical data: the call schedule says who covers the department, never who is delivering. For your organization, the security review is far simpler than for a tool that touches the medical record.
Free during the hospital beta
The product is mature in the clinic context. For hospitals, we adjust it with every department that joins, which is exactly why the beta is free: all users in your department, every feature, no fees. In exchange, we ask for your feedback. Details are on the hospital departments page.
How to start
- Demo with your department head.
- You send us your call rules, we configure the distribution for you.
- Each physician enters their absences in their account, or the department head does it for the team.
- You test on a real schedule period. If it fits, we keep going together.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the obstetrics call schedule so hard to build?
Because coverage is continuous: deliveries do not wait for office hours. You have to cover 24/7 with an often small team, weight nights and weekends properly, and stay fair over the year. That is exactly the problem Synchro automates.
How does Synchro weight night and weekend call?
Each shift type gets a weight based on your department's rules: a weeknight, a Saturday or a holiday does not count like a day shift. Distribution balances each physician's weighted total, not just their shift count.
What happens when a physician has to give up a call shift at the last minute?
The shift is posted on the internal transfer board and an available colleague claims it self-serve. The department head sees the change, with no phone cascade. See on-call shift transfer.
Does Synchro store any patient data?
No. Synchro schedules physicians, not patients. No clinical data enters the platform: the call schedule says who covers the department, never who is delivering. That makes the security review by your organization much simpler.
Is Synchro available in English?
Synchro is currently available in French only. The English version launches in August 2026. Bilingual teams use Synchro today, and we answer in English or French.
How much does Synchro cost for an obstetrics department?
It is free during the entire hospital beta, with no user cap and every feature included. In exchange, we ask for your feedback to adapt the product to the department reality.
